Teacher Strike - Thursday 16 March - School Closed
Strike Day for Teachers - Mellons Bay School closed - Thursday 16 March
We are aware that this has been a disruptive start to the year with significant weather events. Last week our teachers attended a union meeting and a national strike action vote was taken on Wednesday.
This is not just about ensuring teachers are valued but also attracting and retaining teachers so that our children have the opportunities to learn and thrive. The effects of being under-resourced in multiple ways as a school has direct impact on our children.
Teachers and principals recently rejected the government’s offer due to the lack of commitment to providing adequate resources to address the key concerns.
Thank you for your organisation with your families
