Mid-Year Parent/Teacher Sharing Appointments

At Mellons Bay School, we use an online Booking System for the Parent/Teacher sharing appointments. This event does not include Room 4, who will receive their own communication regarding their ‘Meet the Teacher’.

After-School Playground Use

For safety reasons, students are not permitted to play on the playground after school unless supervised by a parent or caregiver.

As communicated by our Principal, our expectation is that children go home promptly leaving the school grounds by 3:15 pm every school day. Any student who has not been picked up by this time, cannot wait within the school grounds and will be asked to come and wait in the Office. Students might then need to go to SKIDS at a cost to their Parent or Caregiver.

Flow Holiday Programme

Want a new experience for your children these school holidays? Why not try Parkour, Tumbling, Tricking, Breaking, and Circus, along with daily games at Flow Academy of Motion.

Flow Academy offers modern movement education and experiences for all ages, from preschool to adults, in our specialized gyms in Pakuranga and Albany. Bucklands Beach Kindergarten

Their 50th Birthday Celebration is on Friday, 19th June from 11:30 am - 2 pm and they are cordially inviting past and present whānau, kaiako and members of the community who have been involved with them over the years. Please RSVP by Wednesday 10th June to bucklandsbeach@aka.org.nz

After-School Spanish Programme - Expression of Interest

Maria’s Learning Centre is exploring the possibility of running a Spanish after-school class on Thursdays at Mellons Bay School in Term 3.

Thursday afternoons: 3:15pm – 4:15pm

SKIDS

Are no longer going to offer a before-school programme in the mornings. They will still provide their programme for after-school.

Prestidges Uniform Shop

The uniform shop at the hall is open on Tuesday mornings from 8:30 am until 9:30 am and Thursday afternoons 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm.

Enrolments

Enrolments for new students can now be made online.

We invite our current families to submit an online enrolment application for siblings who are due to start at our school in 2026 as soon as possible.

Out of Zone Applications for 2027

We are accepting 2027 Out-of-Zone applications

• For New Entrant, Year 3, 4 and 5 students only at this stage

• Applications close at 3.00pm Wednesday 14th October 2026

• A ballot, if required, will take place on Wednesday 21st October 2026

Student Medications 2026

Please ensure that any medication required for a student throughout the day is sent to the Health Room and not kept in student’s bags. A Medicine Authority Form is required to be completed and signed by a parent
